Homework
Homework is recorded as done when it is completely finished for collection or review
the day it is due. Students write homework assignments and due dates, upcoming
assessment dates, and other reminders in their Homework Assignment Book each morning
Remember, not all homework is written.
Expect homework in the following subject areas:
Math
-Practice Book (PB) page
ILA (Integrated Language Arts):
*Reading:
-Read 20 minutes a day and complete daily reading log.
-Vocabulary: study for weekly quiz
*Grammar:
-Study for weekly quiz
*Spelling:
-Study for weekly quiz: See/Say/Cover/Spell/Check
Triangle Spell
Word Association
Buddy Study
Religion, Science, Social Studies:
-Homework is given as needed
Friday Folders
A Friday Folder is sent home each Friday. It contains tests, quizzes, and assignments
that were graded/completed for the week.
All papers in the KEEP AT HOME pocket of the Friday Folder must be removed and kept
at home.
All papers in the RETURN TO SCHOOL pocket must be returned with the Friday Folder.
The Weekly Progress Report lists grades, missed assignments, and teacher comments.
Please examine all assessments, sign the Weekly Progress Report, and return to school.
Friday Folders must be returned to school each Monday.
