BUYING LUNCH:
Served daily are:
Complete Lunch - $3.00 Varies daily, menu sent home monthly. Includes an entrée, side (which can be purchased “ala carte”-see below), drink of choice & a dessert.
Ala carte - $1.00 SIDE dishes served with THAT DAY’S complete
lunch may be purchased separately (i.e. Soup, salad, tater tots, hash
browns, mac & cheese etc.)
Hotdog or Hamburger - $1.50 (this DOES NOT include a drink)
Drinks - $.50 orange drink, lemonade, iced tea, bottled water
Milk - $.75 Lowfat chocolate milk, 2% white milk
Snacks:
Assorted Lance chips, crackers, cookies, etc. - $.75
Asst. Hershey ice cream(sandwiches, pops, cones, bars, etc) - $1.25
Nachos & Cheese (served occasionally, posted in cafeteria) - $1.00
Pizza - $1.50 a slice. Served on full day Wednesdays as seen on
the menu. DOES NOT INCLUDE DRINK
HOW IT WORKS:
ALL lunch money for children in grades K thru 2 MUST be in a sealed envelope marked with child’s name, grade, what is being purchased for lunch and the total amount of money enclosed. Exact change is preferred; however, we understand that it is not always possible. You MAY enclose lunch, snack & drink money together OR use separate envelopes whatever is easiest for you & your child. Any change or snack money will be given to students at lunchtime.
PIZZA DAY:
On some full day Wednesdays, pizza is brought in for lunch. Slices cost $1.50 each. A DRINK IS NOT INCLUDED, SO PLEASE PROVIDE EITHER A DRINK OR MONEY FOR YOUR CHILD.
SNACKS:
Snack money for children in K-2 should also be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with child’s name & grade. You may include snack money with your child’s lunch money and it will be given to them at lunchtime, however, please clearly state that on the envelope (see examples below). No child may charge a snack.
FORGOT A LUNCH?
If your child has no lunch or forgets his/her money, then a lunch and drink will be provided and a charge is recorded. Prompt payment is expected and is to be sent to the attention of Mrs. Stumpf in the cafeteria. NO CHILD IS PERMITTED TO CHARGE SNACK ITEMS.
TO EASE YOUR WORRIES!
When the little ones are brought to the lunchroom, teachers and lunchroom aides are there to help them get started. Aides are present to assist children with opening drinks or lunch items and cutting their food. This is the students’ free time but they are encouraged to eat. They will have playtime at recess immediately following lunch.
The lunch program is very flexible. Your child may bring a packed lunch and purchase just a drink or you may choose to buy a hot lunch and a snack for your child. Just please remember to clearly label their envelope with ALL OF THE INFORMATION.
